Friday evening at 6:30 p.m. we will honor the new "Pioneer". We will have the "Five Card Draw" Band for entertainment and dancing. Also, a Welcome Reception celebrating our 100th anniversary where there will be lots of good food. So bring your best girl and come along for a bit of fun and help celebrate our birthday.
We are hoping that each of you will come and encourage some of the others in your county to attend. We surely would like to have many of the folks that we have not seen in the past few years. Please contact some of your fellow Farmers Union members in your county and car pool together down to Corpus Christi. Don't wait for someone to call you, you do the calling! We look forward to being reunited with a lot of you that we haven't seen for a while.
We will have an Early Birds breakfast beginning at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday January 25. The luncheon will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday January 25. We will have a big name speaker at each of these events. I am sure you will enjoy hearing what they have to tell us.
On Saturday afternoon "1:30 to 2:30" there will be a seminar on "World Trade" by Jere Locke from the Texas Fair Trade Coalition.
Our Convention is jam packed but we are not through yet. After the banquet Saturday night on January 25 we will have our "Progressive Auction". If you have never attended one of these you have missed the time of your life.
For you County Officers and representatives keep in mind that you need to be collecting items for the Progressive Auction and for door prizes.
We look forward to seeing each of you in Corpus Christi on January 25-26.
